Allyson Grey

Allyson Grey has hidden writing in her artwork that is comprised of twenty unpronounceable letters.  She uses color and shape to draw attention to the entire piece as a whole.  She communicates her message by using shapes and colors to stimulate our eyes.

Carolyn Lawrence

Contributed to the Wall Of Respect.  She is an American Visual Artist who was born in 1940.  Carolyn Lawrence has had many gallery exhibitions before.  She uses color and line.  She uses color to bring emphasis to the letters in the background.

Kara Walker

Kara Walker was born in Stockton, California in 1969.  She was given a BFA from the Atlanta College of Art in 1991.  She also earned a MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1994.  She is best known for her intersection about race, gender, and sexuality through silhouette figures.
