Eduardo Kobra is a Brazilian street artist.  He uses a kaleidoscope effect in his work repeating squares and triangles to make pictures of famous people.  He uses a variety of bright colors, textures, lines, and shading. I like how Kobra uses the kaleidoscope effect in his work to create an image.  I also like all the different colors that he uses in his work.  I find the size of his work to be impressive considering the types of images he creates.

Born in 1977, this painter is best known for his portraits of African American men posing heroically.  Wiley earned his BFA from the San Fransisco Art Institute and his MFA from Yale University of Art. Kehinde does an outstanding job at making his paintings look realistic. He uses colors that blend well together and are pleasing to the eye.

Vincent Van Gogh:  Vincent Van Gogh painted 37 self portraits.  " Rembrandt van Rijn" is a self portrait that he painted that he felt really captured the painter that he thought he'd become. David Hockney:  A man whose self portraits are painted as if he is looking in the mirror and trying to replicate what is seen.  He is different from Van Gogh as he tries to replicate him exactly where as Van Gogh painted what he felt he had become. Pablo Picasso:  Someone whose paintings make it as if he is doing the looking instead of you.  He would always portray himself with big eyes that would suck you right into the photo.  He is different from both artists as his style is different than theirs and is less realistic. A work of art can be like a self portrait because the artwork itself can express the artist's ideas and personality.  This can happen depending on what materials are used, what kinds of colors are inc...

Allyson Grey has hidden writing in her artwork that is comprised of twenty unpronounceable letters.  She uses color and shape to draw attention to the entire piece as a whole.  She communicates her message by using shapes and colors to stimulate our eyes.

Contributed to the Wall Of Respect.  She is an American Visual Artist who was born in 1940.  Carolyn Lawrence has had many gallery exhibitions before.  She uses color and line.  She uses color to bring emphasis to the letters in the background.

Kara Walker was born in Stockton, California in 1969.  She was given a BFA from the Atlanta College of Art in 1991.  She also earned a MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1994.  She is best known for her intersection about race, gender, and sexuality through silhouette figures.

Arguably the most controversial street artist in the world, Banksy has an entire subculture for his works alone!  Though he has been involved with the graffiti scene for over 20 years, his identity still remains unknown.  His work can be found all over the internet as "viral images".   At an auction, Banksy’s “Girl With A Balloon” piece seemingly self destrcted.  An alarm was set off inside the piece and the canvas fell into itself and was shredded to bits.  I don’t know how I feel about this.  This is very strange and abnormal for a piece of artwork.
